Local Bluetooth processing
Clock Care processes device names, Bluetooth identifiers, app settings and the latest temperature, humidity, battery and status values locally on the iPhone. Bluetooth access is used to discover supported nearby devices, receive measurements and synchronize compatible clocks. This local BLE device management requires no user account.
Optional server-rack monitoring
Only when you configure private server-rack monitoring does the associated ESP32 transmit a device identifier, temperature, fan output, sensor status, safety mode, device uptime, Wi-Fi signal strength and firmware version by HTTPS. The server additionally records the time of receipt.
The data is used exclusively to display the server rack in Clock Care and to monitor its technical operation. It is processed on a server operated by the provider and stored in a PostgreSQL database. It is not disclosed for advertising, analytics or tracking purposes.
Technical infrastructure and protection
Cloudflare Tunnel is used as a technical infrastructure and processing service to provide encrypted access to the provider-operated server. The ESP32 is not directly reachable from the internet. Access is protected by separate device and read tokens. The read token is stored in the iPhone’s Apple Keychain and is not embedded in the app.
The ESP32’s local fan control continues to operate independently of the server, internet connection and app.
Retention and deletion
Server-rack telemetry data is stored for no more than 30 days and is then deleted automatically. Locally stored devices can be removed in the app. All locally stored app data can be removed by deleting the app from the iPhone.
No accounts, advertising or analytics
Clock Care uses no user accounts, advertising, user tracking or analytics.

If there is a material change to what data Clock Care processes or how the app uses that data, we will update this privacy policy and inform you appropriately, for example through an in-app notice.
